I've trained in a wide range of treatments over the years, but I've deliberately built my clinic around the ones that deliver real results, bring clients back and make commercial sense. These are the treatments I believe are worth becoming truly skilled in.

The courses

    Qualification

    VTCT Level 2 Facial Massage & Skincare

    The perfect starting point if you're new to the industry. No previous beauty qualification is required. Learn consultation, skin analysis and professional facial treatments before putting your skills into practice during two clinic training days.

    Qualification

    VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology

    The qualification that unlocks the rest. Required for my VTCT Level 4 Laser qualification and recognised by most manufacturers as the entry point to advanced skin and laser training. Study entirely online, around work, and sit your VTCT exam when you're ready.

    Fully online, most finish in four to eight weeks

    Qualification

    VTCT Level 3 Access to Aesthetic Therapies

    The route I recommend if your goal is to specialise in advanced skin or laser rather than general facials. Designed to lead into microneedling, Advanced Electrolysis Blemish Removal and the Level 4 laser qualification.

    Qualification

    VTCT Level 4 Laser Hair Reduction

    Train across Alexandrite, Nd:YAG and Diode laser systems, so you understand laser technology rather than just one manufacturer and one machine. Learn on live models in a real working clinic, with small-group practical training and personal support throughout. Your training also includes my Launch Your Laser Business programme, covering pricing, marketing, equipment selection and how to build a fully booked diary.

    CPD

    TrueLift™ Facial Massage

    TrueLift™ is my signature facial massage method, developed after training with leading facial massage educators and refined in my working clinic. Combining sculpting massage, muscle lifting and release, fascia techniques, lymphatic drainage and nervous system regulation, you'll learn how to create a results-driven treatment that clients return for again and again, together with the pricing and positioning to make it a profitable signature service.

    CPD

    Advanced Electrolysis Blemish Removal (ACP)

    Learn to safely treat common benign skin lesions including skin tags, milia, thread veins, blood spots and sebaceous hyperplasia using advanced electrolysis (ACP). As NHS access becomes increasingly limited, more clients are choosing to seek private treatment, making ACP a valuable and profitable addition to a specialist skin clinic.

    Blended Learning: Online course and 1 day practical training with live models

    CPD

    Microneedling

    Learn to confidently perform microneedling using evidence-based techniques to improve skin texture, scarring and overall skin quality. Combining treatment protocols, consultation, safety and treatment planning, this course is designed to help you introduce one of the most in-demand advanced skin treatments into your clinic.

    Blended learning: online theory followed by one day of practical training on live models.

I spent almost twenty years as a Business Studies teacher and Head of Department before I retrained in advanced skin and laser. I opened True Skin & Laser in 2022, in a garage conversion, and built it into a specialist clinic with consistent five-figure months. I still run it today.

I got there by narrowing down, not adding on. That is exactly what I teach, and I teach every course myself.
